How would you describe your adoption?
I would describe my adoption as open and very supportive. My parents never hid it from me—in fact, they made it a normal part of my story by talking about it often, especially on my birthday. They explained why my birth parents made that decision and why they chose to adopt me, in a way that always felt honest and loving. They also gave me the space and option to reach out to my birth parents if I ever wanted to. That openness helped me grow up with a clear and honest understanding of my story.
Where are you in your adoption journey today?
I’m at peace with my adoption and where I am in my journey. I don’t feel a need to meet my birth parents.
My journey to feeling like I am enough...
...has been rooted in understanding my story and accepting it as it is. Being adopted came with questions, but also with a lot of love and transparency from my parents. Through openness, honesty, and the way I was raised, I’ve come to a place where I feel at peace with my adoption.
