The Enough Adoption Foundation is a nonprofit organization created to empower adoptees, support their wellness, advocate for adoptees’ access to personal and medical data. “Enough” is rooted in the belief that adoptees are already whole, already worthy, and already enough. Check out this video where Enough Founder, Mia Dickerson explains the purpose of and inspiration behind the organization as well as how to get involved.
Why Enough Exists
Adoption can be beautiful — but also complex, emotional, and sometimes isolating. Enough was created to:
Build community for adoptees and families
Expand access to adoption-competent mental health resources
Improve access to medical and genetic information
Support identity exploration, reunion, and search processes
A Personal Mission
As an adoptee, Mia’s journey was filled with questions about identity, belonging, and medical history. Her experiences — and those of countless adoptees she has met — made it clear that adoptees deserve better access, better support, and better understanding.
What Enough is Building
In the first year, Enough will focus on:
Community Connection & Education: workshops, storytelling, and resources on identity, trauma, and belonging
Mental Health Support: a national registry of adoption-competent therapists and support circles
Medical Records Access: partnerships to improve transparency and help adoptees understand their health history
Search & Reunion Support: tools and trusted guidance to help adoptees navigate complex processes
